About Hong Kong

Hong Kong is a vibrant metropolis and a must-see destination. Comprised of more than 200 islands, it is known for a unique energetic vibe, wonderful food, and expansive skylines. The most urbanized district is Hong Kong Island – the “heart and soul” of the region, while Kowloon district offers the best skyline views and also happens to be one of the most densely populated in all the world. Chinese (Cantonese) and English are both the official languages.

Hong Kong Polytechnic University is located in the Kowloon district of Hong Kong.

Airport: Hong Kong International Airport (HKG)

By taxi: After arriving at the airport, head to a Taxi Station outside Arrivals Hall on left. Take a red taxi to PolyU. Fare is~225HK$. Enter campus along Cheong Wan Road.

By CityFlyer: to PolyU or nearby hotels (Harbour Plaza Metropolis, Hotel ICON, Kimberley Hotel). From HKG, take public bus route A21 to HUNG HOM RAILWAY Station (very close to PolyU, Harbour Plaza Metropolis, Hotel ICON). Get on the bus, get off at Hung Hom Station bus depot. Either take escalator in front of train station building to go up to the mall where Harbour Plaza Metroplis is, or take stairs down to the underground walkway to PolyU. Time: ~1hr, $33HKD or $60 HKD, depending. Website / route details here (English)

By Kowloon Canton Railway (KCR): Take KCR to HUNG HOM RAILWAY Station, look for Exit A Hong Kong Polytechnic University, follow directional signs, walk across footbridge to enter campus.
